It's been a little quieter at 111 N Higgins Ave since the Catalyst Cafe and Espresso closed. But plans have been coming together for what will be Catalyst2GO.

Catalyst2GO Opening in April 2024

Last December the Catalyst Cafe announced on social media that the restaurant would be reincarnated as Catalyst2Go and teased with a photo of their new location at 123 E Main Street. Now, they're giving "a taste" of what the new location will offer.

In another post on social media (above), they detailed the scope of their new take-out options pointing out that the new location will not have any seating options.

  • Espresso Bar
  • Salad Bar
  • Soup Bar
  • Hot Bar
  • Rotisserie Chickens
  • Premade Goods
  • Retail
  • Take & Bake

The Take & Bake options started during the pandemic, Catalyst says in its post, and may feature customer favorites like Mac n Cheese and Lasagna.

National Trends: Going Out to Eat

People may be looking for more restaurants like Catalyst2Go because of the increase in take-out dining. In 2023 usfoods.com conducted a survey of Americans on their dining habits and found that people ordered delivery more often than they dined out and they preferred ordering take-out or delivery to restaurant dining.

More Equipment For Sale from Catalyst Cafe and Espresso

Leading up to the closure of the original location, the Catalyst sold or gave away equipment or nostalgic items associated with the restaurant. Now, as they're working on the new location, they've discovered they have more surplus equipment.

The items listed above could help another food business get off the ground. If you or someone you know might be interested in prep tables, toasters, etc. you can contact denis [at] catalys2go dot com.
