One of Missoula’s Favorite Breweries Plans to Open a 2nd Location
The rate of brewery growth in Missoula has gotten so huge that at a certain point, it can't be contained to just one town!
Missoula has become well-known for its expansive brewery scene, and one of the most popular is Highlander Beer (who are currently encouraging everyone to make a New Beer's Resolution).
According to Montana Right Now, Highlander Beer recently brought on a new president, Hannah Talbott. And under her watch, Highlander is looking to do some major expansion.
Highlander Beer Plans to Open A 2nd Location
That's right, soon there will be TWO Highlander Beers... although the second one is not going to be located in Missoula. In fact, it'll be a little less than three hours south of here, in Salmon, Idaho. They're also planning to bring their canned beers to Idaho grocery stores, just like they have in Missoula.
It's a pretty ambitious next step for the brewery, although it'll be tough to top their Missoula location, with its wide open spaces, pizza oven, and outdoor seating overlooking a creek. There's a reason why people keep coming back, and it's not just the beer (Although yes, the beer is a big part of it).
Between this and the news that Missoula's Cambie Taphouse opened a second location recently, it's exciting to see these local businesses thriving in a post-pandemic world that has deeply affected so many. We've had a lot of closures over the last two years, so it's good to hear that some of our favorites are seeing more and more success.
