Rehearsals are underway for the first live theater production in over a year for the Hamilton Players. It is part of a slow reopening of the community theater group, which has been anxious to get some people on stage and even in the Hamilton Playhouse seats as we ease up from the pandemic.

Playhouse Director denise rose said the 4-member cast of "I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change" are learning their lines for a June opening. The three-weekend run starts the weekend of June 11th and will include a small theater audience - with COVID-19 restrictions. Plans include the play to be streamed live online in the second and third weekends. More details will be available the week of May 24th on the Hamilton Players website and Facebook page. Tickets will go on sale June 1st at 1 p.m.

Another play, that had been scheduled earlier this year, is being performed outside in July. "Always, Patsy Cline," starring Mara Luther and April Sommers will be at the Daly Mansion grounds July 9 and 10. Once again, details are not confirmed, but the dates are confirmed. More information is on its way.

The Hamilton Players are involved in today's "Bitterroot Gives" fundraiser, and they have some matching money available to help your donation go farther. The website is part of the "Missoula Gives" effort to raise funds for over 100 non-profits again this year. It wraps up at 7 p.m. Friday, May 7th.

And, another event will soon happen. The Ravalli County Fairgrounds will be the showcase June 5th for "Spring Into Summer," a free admission showcase of Community Nonprofits, with lots of free prizes to sign up for and lots of organizations you may not know about. You might even want to join their memberships. The Hamilton Players will be there, too.
