I know that lots of people wish they had more exercise in their lives, and I am one of them. Eating healthy is difficult but if I really put my mind to it, vegetables and salads can actually taste delicious but it's the exercise that I need to focus on. It's too easy to be lazy after work and I really want to push myself to be more active.

In the past I have noticed that creating little competitions even just with myself help me get more excited about working out. For example when I got my latest phone I was excited because it had a step counter on the main screen with a goal of 10,000 steps each day and for a while I tried to hit that goal. Then I got lazy and it just stopped, so I recently bought a FitBit in hopes that would help get more excited about putting more exercise into my daily routine.

The new FitBit's are very accurate with your movements and exercise and can get very in-depth. So right now I am also trying to track my food and soon my water intake so I have a better understanding of my overall health. I know how important being healthy is, and if you don't work at it early on in life it only gets more difficult.

Are there any tips or tricks you use to stay active? What do you do to keep yourself motivated on those days when you want to sit on the couch and eat potato chips? And suggestions are appreciates as I work to put more exercise in my life.
