Ever since Lucky's Market at the Southgate Mall closed down, everyone has been wondering what was going to take that space. And it looks like we finally have an answer, or at least a temporary one.

According to the Missoulian, Missoula Valley Winter Market has secured the spot where Lucky's used to be to allow them to operate during the winter season. Beginning on November 14th, they'll be operating every Saturday from 9 AM to 2 PM, all the way through the end of April.

This is pretty exciting news for a few reasons: one, that something's gonna finally fill up that huge empty space in the mall. But two, with the summer over and Missoula quickly getting into fall weather, the outdoor farmer's markets have winded down. If you're somebody who loves to visit the farmer's market every week, this is going to keep you going pretty much all the way until the outdoor ones start up again.

Like those farmer's markets, things will be a bit different thanks to COVID. They'll be controlling the flow of traffic in one direction, and masks will be required. They're also working with the health department to see if they'll be able to have live music, too.

And there's an extra benefit for those who need to pay with food stamps - if you're someone who uses SNAP, your SNAP dollars will actually count double while you're shopping at the market. That's an incredible thing right there.

Will you be checking out the winter farmer's market at its new space where Lucky's used to be?
