It's Pumpkins for the Pov time! Halloween is coming up and each year, a generous Missoula farmer donates his pumpkin harvest to raise thousands of dollars for Missoula's Poverello Center. And typically, we team up with them and invite you out to various locations to buy your pumpkin, but with the pandemic year, we will be delivering right to your doorstep! Huge thanks to the awesome peeps at Blackfoot Communications for also helping to make Pumpkins for the Pov possible this year.

Joseph Preston has lived in the Missoula area for over 15 years. This Spring he hit some hard times and found himself homeless. This was around the same time that the Pov experienced our plumbing issues. Joseph became a leader, within the resident community of the Poverello Center, helping to make sure the kitchen stayed open while we worked to fix our plumbing issues. Specifically, he took leadership of the dishwashing area ensuring that we always had someone there washing dishes and keeping that vital area in tip-top shape.

With each pumpkin, you purchase you can help someone like Joseph get back up on their feet. Because of our sponsors, every dollar of your pumpkin purchase goes toward the Poverello Center’s food programs.
