During the pandemic, the Missoula Food Bank and Community Center has been sending their bus out to deliver "grab n' go" meals for kids. ALL Missoula youth are eligible to take part in these meals - kiddos from all backgrounds, family incomes and family structures. In recent years, about 17% of children in America are living in poverty. That doesn't mean they live on the streets and eat out of trash cans, it means their family can maybe afford rent, but not enough food to last the entire month. It maybe means their mom lost a good paying job due to COVID and they can't afford enough food. It maybe means dad makes a few dollars too much to qualify for assistance.

Never be ashamed to ask for help, or send your kiddos to the Grab n' Go Bus. It takes a village and we're all in this together.

The Food Bank is responding to public need by adding some stops and making some changes to times of deliveries. Here's the new schedule for breakfast and lunch, Monday through Friday.

10:45 to 11:05 a.m. - Sisson University Apartments

11:20 to 11:45 a.m. - Silvertip and Creekside Apartments

12 to 12:30 p.m. - Travois Village

12:30 to 1 p.m. - Futura Mobile Home Park

Kids can also eat free at the EmPower Place at the Missoula Food Bank on Wyoming Street. Breakfast and lunch are available on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Wednesday and Friday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. After school 'super snacks' are also available on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 2 to 7 p.m.
