Is your child's car seat safely and correctly installed? Studies say 70-90 percent of kids' safety seats may not be installed incorrectly.

If you feel it's worth a few minutes of your time to make sure, then stop by Missoula Emergency Services this Saturday (September 26) from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. In  conjunction with National Child Passenger Safety Week, you can get a free car seat safety check.

Do you know the difference between the latch system and using a seat belt when you're installing a car seat? Car seats have expiration dates. Do you know where to find it on the seat? With cooler weather approaching, do you know proper techniques for securing your child when they are more bundled up? And of course, do you know about the "pinch test?" Yep, there is such a thing.

No appointment is needed and COVID-19 precautions will be taken. Make sure your kids are safe in their car seats. Missoula Emergency Services is located at 1220 Burlington Avenue. The event is presented by Buckle Up Montana - Missoula County Coalition. You can visit the Drive Safe Missoula website to find out more about this event and get other great safety advice.
