Now, let us not begin this with a bunch of "go back to where you came from" talk. It is clear that Montana has been found and people are taking advantage of the opportunities available in the state. There is no surprise that companies are looking at Montana as an investment. Which, in the long run, doesn't suck for our economy. But, this progress and funneling of money into the state could begin to take a toll on some of the natural beauty we long-time residents of the state sometimes take for granted.

For many of us, who have ventured to the Seeley-Swan area, you may have enjoyed a visit to Holland Lake. A gateway to the Bob Marshall Wilderness with a spectacular view. The beautiful landscape of Holland Lake is like something out of a postcard. This is probably why a large corporation out of Park City, Utah called POWDR, has purchased the Holland Lake Lodge.

According to some concerned citizens on Reddit

They are in the process of trying to get approval for a major project that will include the construction of 32 buildings, parking lots, and the removal of almost 200 full-grown trees along the shore of Holland Lake. This is one of the hidden gems of Montana and a giant lodge will not fit into the area at all.

A campaign has been started to try and slow down or even halt the development.

The campaign is encouraging people to make public comments on the project. But, the deadline for public comment is 9/21. If you are concerned about the development, leave your comments here.
