As I was skipping home from work while whistling "Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah" the other day, I started wondering if the rest of Montana was as happy-go-lucky as I was. Turns out, they are!

According to a new study from Zippia, Montana is actually the second-happiest state in the entire nation, so we've got that going for us, which is nice. They ranked all 50 states based on Depression Rates, Household Income, Unemployment Rate, Commute Length, Hours Worked, and Marriage Rate. Here's what they said about Montana:

Montana is the second happiest state in the nation. Montanans work under 40 hours a week on average and aren’t burdened with long commutes. That work-life-balance gives them plenty of time to enjoy with the spouse most of them come home to.

So if you just can't seem to stop smiling and you're wondering why, maybe it's because you live in Montana, the second-happiest state in the country. Of course, Utah is apparently happier, but we don't want to turn this into a happiness contest... do we?

Ok, maybe we do. Start campaigning for 2021 now!
