Next week, the 7th annual Montana Film Festival will make its triumphant return to Missoula's Roxy Theater, after having to go all-virtual last year thanks to COVID. And this year, the festival is working to really represent the works of the Montana film industry, focusing on stories from largely Montana-based filmmakers and showcasing movies that take place in this state.

The festival will be taking place November 18th through the 21st, and they recently released a trailer featuring footage from several of the different movies and shorts that will be screening there.

The trailer promises to showcase "bold, independent filmmaking," and that the festival will allow people to "engage in film forums" and feature nightly celebrations with a vibrant film community.

The Montana Film Festival has continued to grow every year, and this year it boasts a pretty incredible lineup which includes titles like The Power of the DogMontana StoryHellbenderWe Burn Like This, and The Humans. For more info on the full lineup, you can check out our previous article on the subject.

Tickets are on sale for each movie individually, or you can buy an all-access Montana Film Festival pass for $60 at the festival's website. They've also got the entire schedule mapped out on The Roxy Theater's calendar page on their website.

Are you excited to check out some of the films at this year's Montana Film Festival? Which one are you looking forward to the most? The Power of the Dog is one of my most-anticipated for the rest of the year, but I can tell you that Hellbender is looking like a great one, too.
