Since I moved to Missoula from New York two years ago, I've tried to have experiences that connect me to the town - stuff that I wouldn't have done back home and I can only do here. And last weekend, I finally crossed another one of those off the list - I went floating on the Clark Fork River! (Granted, I did live near the Hudson River in New York, so technically I could have gone floating there, too... but that one's pretty dirty, it's not recommended).

But man, what a cool, relaxing experience (outside of the occasional dodging of rocks). A hot summer day, a couple of drinks in your tube, there's not much better. So, Kettlehouse Brewing is celebrating its 25th Anniversary with a float down the river this Saturday, August 29th.

They're selling tubes in their taprooms, and will be doing beer specials that afternoon. Their Facebook event page has some advice on when to float and what route to take, here's everything you need to know:

After your float, show up to the Southside K-Hole for $2 cans of KettleHouse core beers for those who floated (show us your tube or paddle), and $4 pints of our 25th Anniversary Pale Ale for all!
>> BEER SPECIALS RUN FROM 4-8PM
>> Suggested Float Route: Put in at Sha-Ron and end at the Higgins bridge to walk to the Myrtle St. Taphouse
>> Suggested Float Time: Put in between 2-5pm
Since taproom capacity is limited, those $2 cans can be to-go, as well. Will you be floating along to check this out?
