The annual fundraising letter was sent out this week by the Hamilton Volunteer Fire Department. The money raised by the individual donations pays for training and safety tools that constantly needed. Brad Mohn, Hamilton Fire Chief wrote in the letter that the volunteer firemen put in about 300 hous a year in training and responding to emergencies. The money goes to the Hamilton Volunteer Firefighter Association.

Also, in the mailing was a note requesting new members. The department is looking for highly motivated people to join the firefighter ranks. No experience is necessary, because there's plenty of training. The department meets for regular practices and meetings weekly. Check their Facebook page for information.
