A construction project south of K-Mart in Hamilton punctured a natural gas line early Monday morning, February 24. There was strong smell of gas which resulted in a 911 call.

The Hamilton Volunteer Fire Department responded and closed off the area adjacent to US 93 between Super One Foods and K-Mart until a NorthWestern Energy crew arrived at the scene. The team successfully stopped the leak with no serious damage done. Traffic was not detoured but moved more slowly on US 93 for about two hours while the emergency responders were on the scene.
