What Changes Would You Be Inspired To Make On Higgins In Missoula?
Higgins Avenue in Missoula has already been the center of a lot of renovations these last few months - the ongoing construction project for the new Beartracks Bridge has taken some time (and has run into some unique challenges, like the ultra-hot sidewalks and the current weight limit).
But it sounds like the bridge isn't the only thing that's going to be changing around the area. Now, Missoula is looking to revamp the entire street, with a goal to make it safer and easier for traffic to flow when making left turns.
And the cool thing about this is that they're looking to hear your input! A survey has been made available for Missoulians to fill out that allows people to go into detail about how they use the road, where they might see challenges, and what improvements they'd like to see implemented. You can check that out right here.
You'll have all throughout August to fill out the survey with your thoughts, and then in the fall city planners will start designing solutions and presenting them to the community. Ideally, a plan can be put in place by late winter.
Missoula has quickly become an ever-changing city, between the new bridge construction, the recently announced renovations to Caras Park, and the possible new work being done over on Brooks Street. Are you in favor of Higgins Ave getting the same treatment? What would you like to see done over there?
