It’s June. And that means it’s once again time for Out to Lunch in Caras Park in downtown Missoula! Each Wednesday from 11:00 til 2:00 during June, July, and August, Out to Lunch serves up a wide variety of foods accompanied by live music and a vibrant crowd of hungry Missoulians.

Each week over 20 different food vendors serve up popular local fare. It’s a great place to sample specialties of some of Missoula’s favorite restaurants. From shish-kabobs to sandwiches, ice cream to fresh lemonade, choose your fare and enjoy the live music meander with friends.

You’ll want to go back each week as it’s a new experience each time. Live music is new each week, too. One weeks its folksy bluegrass and next it’s smooth or sassy jazz. Regardless of the genre on any given week, you’ll always be entertained by a talented local band or musical group. (And FYI — dancing is not only tolerated, but encouraged!)

Out to Lunch is kid-friendly too. Each week you’ll find featured kids’ activities sponsored by a local organization. Past activities have ranged from gymnastics, obstacle courses, art classes, guitar lessons, and more.

Parking? No problem! Beside plenty of parking at Caras Park and nearby, you can also park elsewhere and catch a ride on the downtown trolley. Courtesy of the Mountain Line public transit system, there’s a free trolley service in downtown Missoula that takes you to and from Caras Park. Just jump on the trolley at the downtown Lewis and Clark Transfer Center, the Dornblaser Park and Ride lot on the corner of Higgins and South Avenue, or anywhere along Higgins Avenue.

Out to Lunch is for foodies, families, and fun in the park. Come join the festivities each Wednesday this summer!
