I'm blown away by the beautiful, intricate work I'm seeing in the Flathead Valley Virtual Indigenous Craft Fair so far. The one and only bad thing about it is we all want to spend way too much money! But another thing to love is that it's virtual, so we can all shop the fair.

Here's how it works. Throughout the week, artists will post individual items for sale in the comments under their posts. To buy something, just comment "sold" below the item, and then direct message the artist to work out payment and shipping details. You can see the artist's preferred method of payment in their post. New inventory will be posted daily, so keep checking back.

You can see some basic information and pictures about each of the artists so you can learn more about their culture, background and artwork, and there will be a "Featured Artist" each day. If you happen to see a piece that you're interested in, but don't see it for sale, feel free to reach out to the artist about doing a commissioned piece. And they want to remind shoppers that all prices set by the artists are firm, you're asked to honor the artistry and work that goes into each of these handcrafted pieces, so negotiating is not an option.
Mondays' Featured Artist is the wonderfully talented Claire Charlo. She makes beaded earring and bracelet sets, purses, and all of the things that make people comment on the beauty of your belongings! Some of Claire's artwork is featured above. Other artists participating this week include Ricky Martin, Lydia Spotted Eagle, Jacquetta Brown, Valentina LaPier, JoDon Gobert, Violet Sensmeier, and more. Mother's Day is coming up, happy shopping!
