Paddleheads Share Hilarious Photo Of Ogren Park Covered In Snow
There is that old saying which I've been hearing a lot since I moved out here: "If you don't like the weather in Montana, wait five minutes." And man, that saying has really applied in Missoula over the last few weeks. We've had plenty of days that started out sunny, suddenly got rainy, and then windy, and then snowy, all within the span of like an hour.
That was exactly the case this past weekend, where we saw warm temperatures for Friday and Saturday... and then Sunday, it started to get pretty windy out there. I didn't think much of it, but this morning, I woke up to find there was snow on my car. That's definitely an unexpected sight when it's almost May.
The Missoula Paddleheads - who will be starting their season in just a few weeks and have the first Centerfield Cinema of the year happening this Thursday - had some fun with the situation on Twitter, tweeting out a photo of Missoula's Ogren Park covered in snow, shrugging it off with the caption, "It do be like that sometimes."
The new manager of the Paddleheads, Michael Schlact, actually quoted the tweet and responded by saying, "It's pretty and all, but when the boys get to town it's time to melt." And the Paddleheads responded to THAT with a perfect answer: "Hey, Skip - if it makes you feel any better, it'll be gone by lunch today."
And wouldn't you know it, they're right! The snow we saw in Missoula has already almost completely melted - it might take a little while longer for our friends in Hamilton, though.
