A couple of weeks ago, I walked into the store and was surprised by the discovery I made - the Oktoberfest beers are back! I'm a big fan of trying out the different seasonal Oktoberfest beers from different breweries, but they're only available for a limited time. Some people think of the fall as pumpkin spice season, but real ones know it's Oktoberfest season.

And you can't have an Oktoberfest without a big celebration - which is why the Dram Shop in Missoula is bringing back its Oktoberfest party for its sixth year! On October 3rd, you can head to either Dram Shop location all day long to join in on the festivities, which will include six Oktoberfest beers on tap, fresh German pretzels from Grist Milling & Bakery, and live music from OkTubafest (sidenote: incredible band name).

Plus they'll have a bunch of other stuff going on, like the ability to get a custom Oktoberfest stein, which you can then use to get your first beer free and then $3 Oktoberfest beers all week long. You're also encouraged to dress up in your best Oktoberfest attire to get a Dram drink token.

So yeah, obviously a lot of stuff going on. I've also lost count of the amount of times I've written the word "Oktoberfest" since I started this article, but it's definitely quite a bit.

Think you'll be heading out to celebrate Oktoberfest at the Dram Shop? You can find out more info about the party at their Facebook event page.

LOOK: Here are the best lake towns to live in

Many of the included towns jump out at the casual observer as popular summer-rental spots--the Ozarks' Branson, Missouri, or Arizona's Lake Havasu--it might surprise you to dive deeper into some quality-of-life offerings beyond the beach and vacation homes. You'll likely pick up some knowledge from a wide range of Americana: one of the last remaining 1950s-style drive-ins in the Midwest; a Florida town that started as a Civil War veteran retirement area; an island boasting some of the country's top public schools and wealth-earners right in the middle of a lake between Seattle and Bellevue; and even a California town containing much more than Johnny Cash's prison blues.
