Northern Quest Delays Entire Summer Concert Season
2019 was a pretty huge year in concerts for me - over the course of the year, I saw 123 bands perform live (and yes, I kept track). That was a new record, one that I was hoping I'd be able to break in 2020. And maybe I'd have been able to if... you know... concerts were still a thing.
Thanks to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic, concerts were one of the first things to go when it came time to practice social distancing. Nearly every show that was scheduled for Missoula in 2020 has either been postponed, rescheduled, or outright cancelled - and it's not just Missoula, it's pretty much everywhere, unless you're Chase Rice, apparently.
Which is why it seemed weird that Northern Quest Resort & Casino in Spokane still had a ton of shows set on their calendar. I was planning to head there a couple times this summer, for Barenaked Ladies in June and Ice Cube in July - then BNL was delayed until next year, while Ice Cube was only delayed by a month. And I was looking at my Ice Cube ticket thinking, "They're figuring that things won't be ok to do a show in July, but by August it'll all be back to normal?"
Well, it looks like they came back around - Northern Quest has announced that they're putting the entire 2020 summer concert season on hold, and rescheduling all of their dates until 2021. The full details are available at their website, but all tickets already purchased will still be good for the new dates, and if you need a refund, you'll be able to do that until December 31st, 2020.
This isn't exactly a surprising development, but it's probably for the best. Was there any Northern Quest show you were really looking forward to this year?
