The world's dealing with a lot right now - an ongoing global pandemic, businesses being forced to close, having to suffer through that celebrity "Imagine" video... you're telling me we need to add mountain lions to the list now?

Yep, apparently that's the case, at least in Missoula. The City of Missoula Police Department posted on Facebook today warning people that they've had two reports of mountain lion sightings in Missoula this week. It's currently unknown whether they're the same animal, which means there could be multiple mountain lions running around town.

You gotta wonder if the lack of activity among cities recently is making the animals a little braver in venturing outside of where we'd normally find them. With no pesky humans around, it's the perfect time for them to rise up and form a new society, like in Planet of the Apes. I'm not saying that's, like, definitely going to happen, but I'm also not going to rule it out.

In any case, if you see a mountain lion in town, don't stick around. That may be obvious advice, but these are dangerous creatures and you shouldn't be near them. Instead, call 911, and the sightings will be reported to the Montana Department of Fish, Wildlife, and Parks.
