Montana Grizzly Football Spring Game Location, Date Announced

With practices beginning next week, spring is definitely in the air for Montana Grizzly football.

Hopefully the weather cooperates so the guys can get some positive work in right out of the gate. And before you know it, spring drills will conclude with the return of the annual Griz Spring Game. Are you anxious? Great! Tickets are on sale now.

After a two-year hiatus, UM Sports Information Director Eric Taber reports to us that the annual scrimmage will make a short road trip, being held in Hamilton under Friday night lights. The beautiful and nearly new Hamilton Athletic Complex, which opened in 2019, features a 1,600-seat stadium, lights, and a new artificial turf playing surface.

The annual spring scrimmage was initially set to be held in Hamilton in 2020 but was canceled due to the pandemic. As you recall, In the spring of 2021 Montana played two games against Central Washington and Portland State in lieu of a scrimmage during the NCAA-sanctioned spring competition window.

The game will kick off at 6:00 p.m. Friday, April 8. Tickets are only $10 each, and a special Up With Montana website has been set up so you can buy your tickets right away if you so choose. Tickets are also on sale in the Grizzly Scholarship Association office located next to the Adams Center ticket lobby. Any remaining tickets will be sold at the gate the day of the game.

All proceeds from the event go to the GSA and its mission to provide scholarships to student-athletes.
