If you've been following the news recently, you'll know that Australia is currently experiencing a devastating wave of wildfires across the country. As the deadly flames continue to spread, the country needs as much help and support as it can get.

To do what it can, the US has sent about 100 firefighters to Australia to help control the fires, and will continue to send more until conditions improve. Several of those firefighters are from right here in Montana - some are employees of Montana's Forest Service and Bureau of Land Management, and some are based in cities as varied as Missoula, Lewistown and Billings.

It was the other way around not long ago - Australia sent over 100 firefighters to the US to help take on the deadly wave of fires in California back in August 2018. Hopefully they remain safe and are able to help control the situation as quickly as possible.
