Best Bars in Missoula for Saint Patrick’s Day
Saint Patrick's Day this Friday and I. Am. Stoked. I'm proud of my Irish heritage as many Montanans are. It's a wonderful culture with a rich history and a unique outlook. March 17th is the day we get together in appreciation of the Irish people and all they've given to mankind, it's truly a beautiful holiday.
Though to be honest with you, I'm mostly excited to have 1 or 10 drinks alongside jolly bar folk at some of Missoula's best bars. I wasn't sure of the best places to go, that's why I asked the question on Facebook, here are some of the replies:
Of course Missoula's Irish bar was gonna get some love. Thomas Meaghar Bar is a great place to hang out on any night, as I have many times. I love the food, the atmosphere, and while it's sure to be crowded on Saint Patrick's Day, there's lots of room which is a huge plus. March Madness starts that day and there are plenty of screens to watch.
It has more of a Cajun feel to it, but Charlie B's was actually the most-picked bar in all the replies. Charlie B's has a great vibe and said Cajun food in the back via Dino Cafe.
Cranky Sam Public House is another great option for this Friday. They have some Irish-themed entertainment that night, here's their Facebook for details.
He's referring to the Fraternal Order of the Eagles which is probably the only bar in Missoula that I haven't been to, so you'll have to take Jim's word for it.
