2020 was a rough year for pretty much everybody in a variety of ways, but there was one thing I was legitimately kind of psyched about - since nobody was traveling anymore, gas prices went waaaaaaay down. As someone who still had to drive into work most days, it was kind of a thrill getting to the gas station and seeing that you only had to pay like $1.60 a gallon.

Now, the world is getting back to normal, and that's a great thing, but it also means that demand for gas has risen, which means the prices have gone back up. For most spots in Missoula, we're back to paying around $3.00 a gallon, and it's a little bit of a bummer.

So here's something to help you out - Missoula Today, a channel on NewsBreak, has collected a bunch of info from GasBuddy about gas prices in Missoula. They've found that the average cost in town right now is $3.09. But they also note that the cheapest gas in town is... Costco on North Reserve Street, currently listed at $2.99 per gallon.

Of course, there's a catch to that one - in order to get gas from Costco, you need a Costco membership. But if you've got one and you're utilizing their gas, it could be worth heading over there to save some money. They also note that Ole's Country Store in Milltown has the most expensive gas in the area, at $3.19.

Think gas prices might start heading back down anytime soon? According to the experts, it's going to peak sometime in late summer.
