With the Halloween Weekend coming up here is another event for you to put on your calendar to check out. The Missoula County Public Schools Native American Student Services, along with the All Nations Health Center are putting on a Halloween Carnival this weekend and it is open to the community. This event will mostly be targeted to grade school and middle school kids.

It will be happening this Saturday October 29th from 2p-5p at Franklin Elementary School 1910 South 11th Street West. There is no charge for entry to the event, but if you want to bring some money to be a part of the "cake walk" that will be a fundraiser you can participate. There will be carnival games, costume contest, bounce house and more. Costumes are encouraged but not required.

The All Nations Health Center will be sponsoring the little Haunted House and will be offering a pop up flu shot clinic at the event too.

The "cake walk" fundraiser will help raise funds for community events like this one to be put on from the Missoula County Public Schools Native American Student Services Department. I spoke with Dacia Griego about their mission.

To support and advocate for our Native American students and their families. To also promote indigenous education for all, that is for native and non-native community members to learn more about indigenous cultures and people.

They try to host events at least once a month. The events are free and are open to the public. The proceeds from the fundraisers help bring in performers, musicians, pay for venues and to help put on fun events like the Halloween Carnival this weekend. If you haven't been to the event before, maybe give it a try this weekend and have some fun!
