July is officially the month that concerts finally come back to Missoula, after taking an extended hiatus in 2020 for reasons unknown (editor's note: the reasons are extremely known).

Kettlehouse Amphitheater is kicking off its 2021 concert season this weekend with three nights of Brandi Carlile shows, and they've amassed an impressive lineup this summer that includes Kip Moore, Modest Mouse, ZZ Top, Wilco and Sleater-Kinney, Primus, Death Cab For Cutie, and more. Plus, Logjam has been looking ahead to the fall and started adding concerts for the Wilma, too.

But if you're looking to head downtown and see some live music, Monk's Bar has got you covered on Thursday, July 15th, when they welcome Denver, Colorado's outlaw country superstars Ryan Chrys & The Rough Cuts.

Here's a taste of what you can expect at the show:

These guys have been tearing it up for the last few years, and have even been nominated for (and won!) a couple of awards here and there. And they've shared the stage with other country legends like Dwight Yoakam, Shooter Jennings, The Marshall Tucker Band, and more.

I haven't been back to a dance party situation since before COVID hit, and it seems like this might be the perfect event to head back for it. If you're looking to go, you should know that tickets are $10 at the door, and the band starts playing at 9 PM. You can get all the info you need from their Facebook event page. Think you'll be checking this out?
