Butte America is Montana's big place to party for the Irish holiday and here is a list of a few things going on to check out if in the area.

The time where the whole family comes out is for the Parade. Parade event Facebook Page for Butte says :

Parade will start at 12:00 pm on Saturday, March 17th. Parade route begins at the corner of Arizona and Granite, proceeding West on Granite to Montana, South on Montana to Park St., East on Park St. to Arizona where disassembly can begin. Participants can either disperse going East on Park, South on Arizona or return to staging area by going North on Arizona to Granite or North on Covert to Granite.

If you have never checked out a Hurling match, this Irish sport will have you on your toes wondering how they balance that ball and run. There will be a game in Butte on Saturday right after the parade! Montana Tech's Coliseum and tickets are $5 and kids get in free.

Mtstandard.com did an article on the fun in the Mining City and talked about the Butte YMCA will host the safe teen St. Patrick's Day party from 6 to 9:30 p.m. for kids in the sixth, seventh and eighth grades. There will be live music, dodgeball and more.

Also some Irish dancing fun from 6-10 PM! The 15th annual Handing Down the Heritage show. This St. Patrick's Day party is what Butte used to celebrate with beverage, music and dance happening at the Butte Civic Center. $14 for adults and $6 for students, and children 13/under free when with an adult.

It use to be a lot busier then it is from what I hear but still the best place in the state for the fun in my opinion. Don't forget to wear your green!
