It's funny, irreverent and hits seriously close to home. It's a comedy show filmed by Missoula residents and has hit the web by storm. It's called "Because We Are Here".  Toss a little "Workaholics" in with some Travel Channel and dash of a Michael Cera low budget comedy film and you've got yourself a hit.

According to their very impressive homepage:

“Because We're Here” follows the lives of Colton Smith and Phil Paradise, two childhood friends from Orange County adapting to life in Missoula, Montana. With the help of their friends, Phil and Colton spend their days yearning to find themselves in unfamiliar territory.

I watched a few episodes last night and was instantly hooked. The characters are believable, down right funny and easy to relate to. It's also kinda cool to see the backdrop lil ol' Missoula in each scene. Along the way I was like "Oh woah! I know that place!" or "Oh yeah, I recognize where they are filming that". I think anyone in our town will instantly gravitate to this comedy show that has recently made it's way virally throughout the internet.

As it stands, "Because We Are Here" already has six episodes clocking in at about 10-20 minutes a show. You can honestly make a night of this and enjoy every minute, just make sure to invite your friends from around the neighborhood to come and watch it with you. You'll all feel like Missoula has finally hit the big time.
