Indie-rock band The Decemberists are coming to KettleHouse Amphitheater Wednesday, August 3rd. They formed in 2000 when their lead singer Colin Meloy (Helena High School graduate😮) moved from Helena, Montana to Portland, Oregon.

Since then they've released 9 albums, their song "Down by the Water" was Grammy nominated for best rock performance in 2012, and their song "Once In My Life" was on NPR's list of the best 100 songs of 2018. They were even featured in The Simpsons episode "The Day the Earth Stood Cool. Here's a clip featuring the band from that episode.

And here's a music video for a song off their latest album, "I'll Be Your Girl"

The Decemberists were supposed to play KettleHouse Amphitheater in 2020 and 2021, but those shows were both canceled for reasons you may be able to guess. Tickets for either of those shows will not be valid for this show, so buy new tickets from the Logjam Presents website if you want to go.
