Who Can Fall Down a Hill the Fastest? Snowbowl Vertical Challenge

For some, the thought of Spring is getting them excited for warmer temperatures and green grass. For others, the thought of Spring is making them panic that winter fun will soon be done. It is time to squeeze as much fun as we can out of what is left of winter.

Riding on spring snow can be some of the most fun you can have on skis. Even though temperatures in the valley may be warmer, the snow is still falling on the mountain. Snowbowl is putting together some downhill fun for you and a friend this weekend. Snowbowl's Vertical Challenge is happening Sunday, March 20th

What's the "Snowbowl Vertical Challenge?"

Teams of two are battling it out to see who can ski or snowboard 10,000 vertical feet in a day. That's right! Who can cover as much as the mountain the quickest? It is the annual "Bell to Bell Mountain Challenge."

According to Snowbowl's Facebook event page

Any team that skis 10,000 vertical feet will be entered into a raffle for a pair of Atomic's Bent Chetler. Other prizes are available for various categories. Registration is free and will take place a half-hour before the lifts open.

A camera is required to document your day on the mountain.

With weather calling for some precipitation and cooler temperatures closer to the event, it may be a great day to ride some spring snow. So get them skis waxed and give your teammate a pep talk. With a little help from gravity, it is time to gracefully fall 10,000 feet down a mountain.
