The Victor Fire Hall is tucked into a narrow area west of the Victor Park. The members of the Victor Volunteer Rural Fire Department have been looking for a new location that would allow some expansion. According to a news release from Fire Chief Scott Hackett, the department has obtained six acres and a commercial steeel building on the south side of Victor. The department will renovate the building with large bay doors and a new kitchen, plus a planned community meeting room. Hackett said the building has over 11,000 feed of space and six acres for training, parking and even more growth.

You can help fund the project by attending their annual "Give Thanks" event and silent auction Wednesday, November 14, from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. There will be coffee and brownies in the current fire hall and there will be a celebration of purchasing the new land.
