Upcoming New Store Trolls Missoula By Pretending To Be A Brewery
It's become a running joke at this point - your favorite Missoula spot closed down? Probably because it's becoming a brewery.
Missoula is home to a ton of breweries - in fact, the entire state of Montana has more breweries per capita than almost anywhere else in the country. So, if you heard that we were getting another brewery located on Higgins, would you really be all that surprised?
Well, a new store that's moving into the old Green Light location decided to have a little fun with that idea. About two weeks ago, a sign went up in the window advertising "Another Brewery" with a winky face emoji. The sign lists an instagram account to follow, too: @pinkelephantmissoula.
The Missoulian did some research and found that, yes, this is obviously a joke, and instead of being a brewery, Pink Elephant is an upcoming clothing store, whose website describes themselves as a "one-of-a-kind vintage and streetwear shop."
So that's good! I mean, don't get me wrong, I always welcome a new brewery, but it's nice to get a little bit of variety downtown, too. There's no word yet on when exactly they'll be opening up, but hopefully they'll pull a few more stunts like this before they do. It's 2020 - people deserve to laugh a little bit.
