
University of Montana’s Kareem Jamar Named Co-Big Sky Conference Player of the Week
Montana Sports Information announced on Tuesday, November 19 that Montana Grizzly Kareem Jamar was named the co-Big Sky Conference basketball player of the week.
The 6' 5" guard/forward averaged 20.5 points, nine rebounds and five assists as the Grizzlies, the defending Big Sky Conference champions, split a pair of road games at Minnesota and at South Dakota State.
Jamar scored 23 points and had 12 rebounds and eight assists in Montana's 77-69 win against the Jackrabbits of South Dakota State, snapping that team's 30 game home winning streak.
Jamar scored 18 points against Minnesota in the Grizzlies loss, shooting 50% from the field.
Sharing the honor with Jamar is Idaho State's Chris Hansen.
