The world has been completely upended by the coronavirus over the last year, and the result is that we've been hearing a lot of phrases that we've just had to catch up with for the first time. Phrases like "social distancing," "quarantine bubble," "toilet paper shortage," and more. I think for a lot of people, "contact tracing" might be on that list - it's a concept that existed before COVID, but you started to hear it a lot more as soon as the pandemic started.

If you're somehow still not familiar, contact tracing is like following someone's footsteps to try and see where they may have contracted the virus and how far they may have spread it. And now, the University of Montana is offering a free online course which, by the end of it, will allow anyone who takes it to become a certified contact tracer.

This course is specific to Montana and covers health laws that only exist here, and there are other features of Montana public health that they say are unique to the state. So far, almost 300 people have already completed the course and are ready to go to work.

So, looking to make some extra money and help out in the ongoing struggle against COVID? This might be the way to do it. Here's the link to find out more about the course. It seems like a lot of people are interested, so if you're one of them, it's probably best to sign up as early as possible.
