On Monday afternoon, Missoula Police got a call from U.S. Marshals to help arrest a 19-year-old man by the name of Kyler Shinnaberry. Police Public Information Officer Travis Welsh explains.

"About 4:30 p.m., U.S. Marshals requested assistance from the Missoula Police Department in the arrest of a fugitive who was wanted on two outstanding warrants. They received a tip that he was in the 400 block of West Broadway and they found him there and placed him under arrest."

While he was being arrested, police found what is described as a “fix-kit”, which led to three more charges including another felony.

"A fix kit, typically carried by drug users, holds their implements for ingesting their drug of choice. In this case it also contained a little marijuana and some methamphetamine. Mr. Shinnaberry is currently being held for warrants, a probation violation and the drug related charges."

In the end, Shinnaberry now faces six total charges, including three felony charges for a wide spectrum of crimes ranging from theft and burglary to drug possession and probation violation.
