Missoula Police responded to two separate reports of assault on Thursday evening.

According to Public Information Officer Travis Welsh, the first incident was reported at about 6:13 p.m. by a female claiming she was assaulted by two other females under the Reserve Street Bridge.

“She described two white females, one with blonde hair and one with brown hair,” said Welsh. “She described being physically assaulted by these two women and at one point described that one of them produced a hand gun and threatened her with it, then eventually fired shots in the air as she was leaving the scene.”

Welsh says the woman had minor injuries, and was transported to St. Patrick Hospital for treatment.

The second incident was reported later that evening at 11:38 p.m.

“An adult male reported sexual intercourse without consent describing two other males as suspects,” Welsh said. “His description of them is that they were both black males about 35 to 36-years-old and that they were in a grey SUV type vehicle.”

This incident reportedly took place west of Orange Street alongside the river. If anyone knows any information about these two cases they are asked to call Crimestoppers at 721-4444.
