Truck Tailgates Transformed Into Boomboxes for UM Homecoming

Maybe being in radio and hanging around lots of boomboxes back in the day is what sold me on this idea.

But any boombox lover who plans to go to the University of Montana Grizzly Homecoming game Saturday should definitely check these out: musical tailgates for your tailgate enjoyment!

The University of Montana's Innovation Factory has a new take on "tailgating." Students have taken five donated truck tailgates and transformed them into portable Bluetooth boomboxes. The functional works of art will be on display in Griz tailgate territory for the Homecoming game this Saturday (October 5).

Afterward, the public can bid to purchase one in a silent auction, buy $10 raffle tickets for a chance to win one during the open house from 3:30 - 5:30 p.m. at the Innovation Factory in the University Center, Room 250.
