Take Home Your Own Lovable Super Hero in Missoula
Superheroes are everywhere nowadays. The movies, the toy store, and certainly trick or treating on Halloween in a few days.
But we had a "Super Hero" in our KYSS studio this week. And he loves to cuddle.
Meet the real "Hero", a wonderful dog who is in the spotlight of our Take Me Home Tuesday segment this week from the Humane Society of Western Montana.
Hero is an English Bull Terrier, who is about two years old and ready for adoption into a new family. You recognize the famous face if you've watched television commercials anytime in the past 30 years. The breed was very popular during the "Spuds McKenzie" ads in the late 1980s, and the advertisements for Target starting in the late 1990s through today with "Bullseye".

But this Hero is a lot more low-key and lovable. He made friends with everyone during his visit as we all appreciated his unique brown and white markings that set off his personality.
Allison Cadler of the Humane Society tells us Hero loves interactions with humans. But because he's been a solo dog for his entire life, he's best suited for a home as a single pet to be enjoyed by a family or individual.
Hero is already neutered, and because of his small size, could be well-suited to a living space in town. Although I'm sure he'd love a country home as well.
If you'd like to meet Hero or any of the other wonderful dogs and cats, the Humane Society's shelter off Highway 93 just south of the Blue Mountain Road intersection is open for walk-in adoptions Wednesday through Sunday, from 1 pm until 6 pm.
