Sgt. Mark Horner has been deeply involved with Special Olympics for nearly a decade, but will soon be stepping aside as the Liaison Officer between Special Olympics and the Missoula Police Department.
This is the second of three years that Missoula is hosting the Montana Special Olympics Summer Games, and the opening ceremonies were held Wednesday night in Washington Grizzly Stadium.

Law enforcement personnel will be joining together Friday and Saturday, May 3 and 4 to carry the Flame of Hope through Missoula County on its way to the Special Olympics State Games in Billings on May 15.
