What, you thought The Celebrity Apprentice enough to contain Arnold Schwarzenegger’s impeccable pecs on TV? Not so, puny readers, as the ex-Governator’s loosely autobiographical bodybuilder series Pump has officially landed at CBS Television Studios with a development deal.

The future of Star Trek may not divide humanity by nations of Earth, but back in the 21st century, CBS All-Access subscribers in the U.S. may have reason to envy abroad. The new Star Trek series will be made available on Netflix in international markets, with new episodes streaming shortly after their premiere.

CBS moving Supergirl to The CW creates some interesting logistical questions for the series, now included in The CW’s upcoming Netflix deal, but it seems the DC drama will at least make itself at home on the new network before Season 2. The CW has officially scheduled its own abbreviated Supergirl run, leading straight into the October premiere.

CBS Star Trek boss Bryan Fuller assured us that official details of the new All-Access series would likely emerge around Comic-Con 2016, though a few early reports on the show’s nature and setting may not have been accurate. Not only does Fuller downplay suggestions the new series might predate The Next Generation, but also that Star Trek would go the anthology approach from season to season.

Two and a Half Men has long-since faded from the CBS spotlight, and erstwhile series star Charlie Sheen himself has been understandably quiet since news of his HIV diagnosis last year. Now, a new interview with Matt Lauer sees the star with a long list of regrets, among them the controversial exit that nearly ended Two and a Half Men altogether.

CBS’ proposed young MacGyver reboot has ben raising eyebrows for a few months now, ordered to series despite a near-total discard of the original pilot, but at least some good news is in order. Not only is Furious 7 and The Conjuring director James Wan back in to helm the pilot, but so too have new details of the revamped story arrived.

Anyone following David Letterman (and his giant beard)’s post-retirement from The Late Show can’t help a smile at the veteran comic’s irreverent outlook. To wit, Letterman reveals in a new interview that he “couldn’t care less” about Stephen Colbert’s new Late Show, or any other series out there, wondering why the job didn’t go to a female host.

CBS’ Supergirl made clear from the start that it intended to tell Kara’s story - not her Super-cousin’s - though that didn’t stop the DC drama from awkwardly fumbling around his offscreen presence. Now, in addition to the big CW move, Supergirl will finally introduce a flesh-and-blood (or rather steel) Superman, casting for the iconic role now underway.

Just take a moment to really soak in that headline. CBS, a major network in the United States, reportedly passed on a new Nancy Drew series because it was “too female.” Wow. In a country where women make up 51 percent of the population, it would just be totally crazy to green light a show about us. Thankfully, the contemporary update on the classic detective character is being shopped elsewhere, so hopefully they’ll find another network that doesn’t cringe at the thought of all this lady stuff.

Apart from the excitement of a new TV Star Trek series on the horizon, Trekkies had to wonder how CBS might structure the new All-Access series after its network premiere. Rest assured, CBS intends to keep to the weekly model over Netflix’s binge drop, while network brass hopes to debut even more new All-Access series in the years to come.

According to The Wrap, CBS has partnered with digital video company Interlude (those behind that viral channel-changing lip-sync of “Like a Rolling Stone”) for the “original interactive project” allowing Twilight Zone viewers to “step in and become a part of the story.” BioShock creator Ken Levine will even write and direct the pilot episode.

Still a broadcast rating juggernaut, CBS could make the argument more than most for extending or cutting short its most recognizable hits, and with TCA putting the Eye in the limelight, CBS has good news and bad. We may not have to worry about The Big Bang Theory returning after next season, while Mike & Molly’s closure is official, and both The Good Wife and Person of interest get dubious futures.
