Some people out there had a day off today (I didn't, or else you wouldn't be reading this right now). But depending on who you ask, you might get two different answers as to what the holiday actually is.

Some people will say that it's Columbus Day, and that's definitely the most widely-recognized version of the holiday. But in recent years, there's been a movement to change the day's name to Indigenous People's Day, in an effort to celebrate the people who were here before Christopher Columbus, who are largely marginalized in history.

Even my phone lists both on this day in my calender - so my question is, which do you prefer? Do you want to stick to Columbus Day or switch over to Indigenous People's Day?
