The annual Jerry Wessels Les Schwab Tire Center "student chili feed" competition continues this weekend, February 8. Each Saturday, two or more high school teams from throughout Ravalli County come to the Wessels showroom in Hamilton with their favorite chili recipes (thanks, parents!). They offer them from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. to the public. If you like 'em, you drop some money in the jar. The team that earns the most each weekend is matched for that amount by the the tire shop. Last week, the Hamilton High School softball team got about $1,500 for their efforts (good Texas chili, by the way) and the Victor Spanish Club picked up $400. By the way, the weekly winners come back on the final Saturday of the month for a "chili-off," or something like that. There's still room in the weekly competition for some teams from the area high schools. Call Jerry Wessels Les Schwab tire Center at 363-3884.
