HBO’s Real Sports Shines Spotlight on Inspiring Montana Skate Parks
We've talked a lot over the years about local celebrity - and Pearl Jam bassist - Jeff Ament, and his efforts to build skate parks all over Montana. He's been raising money to build parks in smaller, isolated communities for a long time now.
Last summer, he teamed up with Kettlehouse Brewing to create a new beer called the MPS Pool Ale, which helped raise funds for the Montana Pool Service. The Montana Pool Service is Ament's nonprofit which works on building those skate parks. Not long after, they held a fundraising event at Ogren Park where they screened a broadcast of Pearl Jam performing live in at Washington-Grizzly Stadium back in 2018.
So, locals are pretty familiar with the work Jeff Ament has been doing. But now, it's being put into the national spotlight.
Jeff Ament and His Skate Parks Were Recently Featured on HBO's "Real Sports"
If you saw the most recent episode of Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel, you'll know that the program came to Montana recently and spoke to Jeff Ament at length about Montana Pool Service and their mission to keep building skate parks all over the state.

It's awesome to see this cause begin to get some national attention, and even cooler that Ament has so much love for his home state that he continues to work hard to make it as great as it can be.
