Missoula police are investigating acts of vandalism that occurred early Monday morning on Clark Fork Drive.

Missoula Police Sergeant Jerry Odlin provided details of the incident currently under investigation.

“On July 6th between midnight and twenty past midnight, the Missoula Police Department responded to the 2500 block of Clark Fork Lane for a report of vandalism in progress,” said Odlin. “When officers arrived on the scene, they found four vehicles that had been spray painted and suffered over $1,000 in damage for each vehicle, is the current estimate.
Odlin provided a description of the suspect.

“The suspect was described as a skinny male wearing a bandana over his face, a maroon sweatshirt with the hood pulled up,” he said. “The vehicles were parked in a ‘No Parking’ lane and it sounds like that’s what the person was targeting, however the level of damage was extremely excessive.”

Odlin described the damage done to the vehicles, outside and inside.

“I guarantee that it’s over $1,500 per vehicle, he said. “In one of them they left the passenger door unlocked in the vehicle and the person got in and spray painted the inside of the pickup. It’s all over illegal parking.”

Odlin said there were profanities spray painted all over the inside of the pickup truck.

“If anybody has any information regarding this suspect or was a witness to this crime, please contact the Missoula Police Department at 552-6300, or Missoula Crimestoppers at 721-4444.”
