Paris Jackson Says Her Dad Michael Was Murdered: ‘Everybody in the Family Knows It’
Michael Jackson’s daughter, Paris Jackson, gets very candid about her father’s death in her cover story for the latest issue of Rolling Stone magazine. In her first-ever in-depth interview, the 18-year-old believes that her father’s death was no accident and that he was indeed murdered.
For those who don't know, the late King of Pop was found unconscious in his bedroom and was pronounced dead later at a hospital on June 25, 2009. At the time of his death, Jackson had been administered propofol, lorazepam, and midazolam by his personal doctor, Dr. Conrad Murray, and the Los Angeles coroner decided to rule the death as a homicide. Ultimately, Dr. Murray was convicted of involuntary manslaughter.
"Absolutely," Paris told the magazine. “Because it's obvious. All arrows point to that. It sounds like a total conspiracy theory and it sounds like bulls---, but all real fans and everybody in the family knows it. It was a setup. It was bulls---."
Paris wouldn't divulge her thoughts on Dr. Murray but she believes that "a lot of people" wanted the late singer dead. She plans on obtaining the truth behind her father's death. "I definitely do [want justice], but it's a chess game. And I am trying to play the chess game the right way. And that's all I can say about that right now."
Undoubtedly, Michael's death affected her as well as her two brothers Prince and Blanket. Eight years after her father's passing, Paris continues to grieve for him. "They always say, 'Time heals,'" she said. "But it really doesn't. You just get used to it."
"I live life with the mentality of 'OK, I lost the only thing that has ever been important to me.' So going forward, anything bad that happens can't be nearly as bad as what happened before," she added. "I feel him with me all the time."
