Don't get me wrong, we're also excited for Drowning Pool with Ill Nino and we're always down for another round of Black Label Society, but here's a band we've been wanting to see again since they played downtown Missoula.

Highly Suspect is scheduled for the Wilma on Saturday, November 6th with a show at the new venue 'The Elm' in Bozeman, and then here in Missoula. Will shows still be happening at indoor venues by November? Only time will tell. But we sure hope so because Highly Suspect are so great live.

We first saw them in 2016 when they played The Palace. Yeah, downstairs in the basement in the same year they were nominated for Best Rock Album at the 58th Annual Grammy Awards. The song "Lydia" was also nominated for Best Rock Song. But there they were on that tiny stage with about 50 of us in attendance, I could be wrong on that guess, I'm bad at estimating crowd sizes, but The Palace wasn't a very large venue. Highly Suspect returned to Missoula less than a year later to play the Top Hat, we were out of town for another show, but I was super bummed to miss them because their live performance really is impressive.

You'll often see the letters MCID associated with Highly Suspect. It's not only the name of their 2019 album, but also refers to "a cast of comrades that orbited their star, friends and chosen family that would travel the world with them, move cross country with them, and become pet parents with them." It also refers to their fans and stands for "My Crew Is Dope."

Tickets for the all-ages, general admission show at the Wilma are $35 and on sale this Friday, September 17th at 10 a.m. at the Top Hat Box Office, by calling (800) 514-3849, and online.
