Missoula’s 3rd Annual Tutu Trot Will Be Virtual And In-Person
Are you familiar with the Tutu Trot? It's a fun run that started a few years ago to support the Boys & Girls Club of Missoula County - the idea is that you enter and run a 2.2 mile race, all while wearing your favorite tutu! It's a fun idea, but they've only been able to do a fully in-person one during their first year, in 2019. Last year's was entirely virtual, after it had already been delayed thanks to COVID.
This time around though, they're doing both! If you'd like to participate and you want to do the race on your own virtually, that's totally cool. If you want to join the group and actually run the race in-person, you'll be able to do that, too.
All the info is available on their Facebook event page, but here's a quick rundown:
If you're running in person, you'll have to be at Silver Park on Sunday, May 16th and run the route there. There's no official start time, so you can show up anytime between 11 AM and 2 PM to complete your run. And if you don't have a tutu, you can show up early and make one for yourself.
For virtual runners, you'll be able to pick your favorite route anywhere you want and run it anytime between May 16th and May 31st. And don't forget the tutu!
All proceeds from the event go towards the Boys & Girls Club's Back A Kid Scholarship Fund, which allows the organizations to provide scholarship assistance to families in need every year.
Think you'll be checking this one out? Do you have an old tutu lying around that would be perfect for this?
