Tell me that you've been to the new WinCo in Missoula! Alright, if you don't really live in town I guess you're off the hook. But if you do live in Missoula and you haven't been - you should at least go check it out just to see what they've done with the old Shopko building. It's pretty spacious, they have a ton of products, and if nothing else -the bulk candy section is deserving of a visit.

If you already frequent the Missoula WinCo you may have thought to yourself a time or two, "boy, they have everything here." Well, on Thursday of this week (5/13) they'll be adding one more product to their offering......kind of. The Missoula City-County Health Department will be on hand from noon to 5 PM with a mobile vaccine clinic in the Winco Foods parking lot. They'll be offering single-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine shots for free to Missoula County residents 18 and older. Vaccines will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

How handy can it get? Grab a couple items from the mid-week shopping list and roll up your sleeve for a vaccine shot all in the same quick trip. With 60% of people receiving at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, Missoula continues to move closer to a target goal of 75% of the county's population getting vaccinated. As we've seen infection numbers on the decline it was pretty promising to see the mask mandate in Missoula get lifted this week.

Hang in there - we're going to wind up the other side of this pandemic yet - and the mobile vaccine clinic is just one more small piece in the battle to get us there. Stop by WinCo at 2510 S. Reserve for a vaccine shot on Thursday - or check out other locations and vaccination info from the Missoula City-County Health Department HERE.
