Missoula Will Get a New Public Library Next Year
Construction is underway and everything is on-schedule for the building of a new Missoula Public Library.
It was about three years ago that Missoula voters expressed support for a new library, and now, after so much time, they're finally ready to say that the library should be running by July 2020, with a soft opening in June.
The new building is located very close to the current library on E Main Street, and its four floors will include a market space, a children's museum/discovery area, the traditional collection of fiction/nonfiction works, and a common area and event space that can hold 250 people, plus an outside viewing deck.
That's a lot of stuff! The new library looks to be an exciting addition to the community. Are you excited to check it out when it officially opens next year?
